What exactly is the Sigfox network?

The Sigfox network is the pioneer and leader in IoT, the Internet of connected objects. It is a French company that has deployed its own data transfer technology via its own network, which today covers more than 78 countries in the world and achieves 97% coverage in Belgium.

This network has many advantages, notably its low energy consumption but above all its long range which allows it to cover areas not covered by traditional networks.

How can I make sure that data transmission is not disrupted by a technical or network problem?

To ensure that the transmission of data is effective, Holifresh has implemented a dual continuous monitoring system to ensure that the data transmitted is received and available on the Holifresh Cloud platform.

Holifresh therefore operates with a permanent verification system to ensure that there are no problems with the reception of this information.

Do I need to install any software to be able to use the Holifresh platform ?

No, no software must be installed on your computer.

To access your data and be able to use the Holifresh platform for monitoring your temperatures, all you need is a browser, as well as internet access. All internet browsers work, but we recommend Google Chrome.
 

The Holifresh platform also works on your smartphone and tablet! This is not an app, but our platform adapts to your screen size.

Can I set different alarm levels via SMS, calls and email?

By logging on to the Holifresh platform, you are free to set up each checkpoint individually. You will thus define the ideal temperature and the limit thresholds for the temperature you want.

You can even program as many alarm levels as you like, whether by SMS, call or email.

Each alarm can be programmed according to a time/temperature ratio, so you don't have unnecessary alarms related to the rapid opening of a door or automatic defrosting zone in your refrigerated cabinet.

Why are the temperatures displayed on the platform not the same as those displayed on my other system?

Quite simply because the temperature measured will depend on two parameters:

  • Firstly, it depends on where the sensor is placed in the refrigeration system.
  • Secondly, it also depends on the precise moment when the temperature is measured by the Holifresh system or by the other system. It is possible that the measuring time intervals may be different.

For our part, the probes are systematically calibrated before installation, which allows us to check that the temperatures recorded are as accurate as possible with an accuracy of 0.1C°.

What should I do in case of automatic defrosting of the fridge?

Each alarm can be programmed according to a time/temperature couple, which avoids unnecessary alarms linked to the rapid opening of a door or an automatic defrosting zone of your fridge.

What happens in the event of a power outage or internet failure?

The Holifresh system will continue to transmit your temperature data since it is independent of all other networks. It will probably even alarm you of the failure since the temperature of your friges will become abnormal.

You no longer have to worry about monitoring your cold chain.

How many people can receive email and SMS alarms?

You can register as many people as you wish for the monitoring of your cold chain. There is no limit in terms of the number of email addresses or telephone numbers as recipients of alerts if the set thresholds are exceeded.

However, there is a limit of 10 SMS/day maximum per thermometer, so we invite you to register the number of recipients you wish for email alerts but to give preference to one or two recipients for SMS alerts.

Where is my data stored?

Your temperature data is stored by Holifresh in the so-called "Cloud". In other words, they are securely stored on a server in a data centre in France. These centres meet very high standards in terms of data availability and your data is reliably protected against external access. Holifresh makes every effort to ensure that all your data remains confidential and we invite you to contact us if you have any questions about the protection of your private data.

Does my data continue to belong to me when it is in the Cloud?

The measurement data from your temperature monitoring system belongs to you, no matter where it is stored.

What parameters can be monitored with Holifresh?

Currently, Holifresh is able to monitor your temperature parameters between -90°C and +500°C. We also monitor humidity and CO2 parameters. 

In the future, possible measurements will be supplemented successively with new parameters. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any specific request or need.

Am I notified when the battery status of the wireless data logger is low?

Of course, you will be informed when the batteries in the data logger are low so that they can be replaced quickly. These messages are sent by e-mail.
In addition, you can easily view the battery status of each of your checkpoints directly on the Holifresh platform.

I would like to test the Holifresh solution. How can I do this?

You have several possibilities for this. First of all, we suggest that you ask your refrigeration engineer, as he may be familiar with our solution and may be able to offer it to you. We have forged numerous partnerships with them.
